Eating gluten-free at Disneyland can be a breeze with some planning and awareness of your options. Here are some tips to help you enjoy a gluten-free experience at the park:
- Research Dining Options: Before your visit, take some time to research the dining options available at Disneyland. Many restaurants throughout the park offer gluten-free menu items or can accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice.
- PRO TIP- If you are eating at a sit-down restaurant when you make your reservations, the app will ask you if you have any dietary restrictions. Make sure to note your allergy or sensitivity, this way the restaurant will have an allergy-friendly menu waiting for you upon arrival.
- Communicate with Cast Members: When dining at restaurants in the park, don’t hesitate to communicate your dietary needs to the cast members (Disney employees). They are trained to assist guests with allergies and dietary restrictions and can provide guidance on gluten-free menu options.
- Check Menus and Allergy Guides: Disneyland provides allergy-friendly menus that indicate which items are gluten-free or can be modified to accommodate gluten allergies. These guides are available at most dining locations and can also be accessed online in advance of your visit.
- PRO TIP- When using the Disneyland App for your mobile order, scroll down to the bottom for the allergy-friendly meals or click on the allergy-friendly icon in the menu. You must order from the allergy-friendly menu to get your allergy-friendly meals.
- Plan Ahead for Snacks: Pack some gluten-free snacks to enjoy throughout the day, as options for gluten-free snacks may be limited within the park. This ensures you’ll have something safe to eat when you need a quick bite between meals.
- Consider Quick-Service Restaurants: Quick-service restaurants often offer more customizable options and may be better equipped to accommodate gluten-free requests. Be sure to inform the cashier or server of your dietary needs when ordering.
- Bring Your Own Gluten-Free Items: If you have specific gluten-free products or snacks that you prefer, consider bringing them with you to the park. This ensures you’ll have safe and familiar options to enjoy during your visit.
- PRO TIP- Use Amazon Fresh to have your meals and snacks delivered straight to your hotel. Not only will this save you a good amount of money, but it will also ensure you can snack on your favorite gluten-free snacks.

- Be Mindful of Cross-Contamination: While Disneyland makes every effort to accommodate dietary restrictions, cross-contamination can still occur, especially in busy kitchens or dining areas. If you have severe gluten sensitivity or Celiac disease, it’s important to exercise caution and ask about preparation methods to minimize the risk of cross-contact.
Best Gluten-Free Options at Disneyland
- Dole Whip: This iconic pineapple soft-serve treat is gluten-free and can be found at the Tiki Juice Bar in Adventureland.

- Turkey Legs: The smoked turkey legs sold at various outdoor food carts throughout the park are naturally gluten-free and make for a satisfying and protein-packed snack or meal.
- Fruit Stands: Fresh fruit stands located throughout the park offer a variety of gluten-free options, including whole fruits, fruit cups, and packaged snacks like applesauce.
- Salads and Grilled Meats: Many table-service restaurants and quick-service locations offer gluten-free salads and grilled meat options. Be sure to ask about gluten-free dressings and sauces and inform the server of any dietary restrictions.
- Gluten-Free Pizza: Some dining locations, such as Aliens Pizza Planet in Tomorrowland, offer gluten-free pizza and salad options. These can be a great choice for a satisfying and filling meal.
- PRO TIP- If you are ordering a GF pizza, go inside the restaurant to keep an eye on your order. The GF pizzas will be on the right side of the serving area, they are whole mini pizzas. Sometimes the cast members overlook the GF pizzas because they are not located in the same area as everything else. As soon as you see it sitting on the counter let a cast member know, if not you may be waiting 10+ minutes for a soggy pizza.

- Customizable Options: Many dining locations offer customizable menu items that can be made gluten-free upon request. This includes items like burgers (without the bun), sandwiches (with gluten-free bread), and tacos (with corn tortillas).
- Snack Carts: Keep an eye out for gluten-free snacks at various carts and kiosks throughout the park, including popcorn, Mickey-shaped rice treats, and packaged snacks like chips, pickles, and fresh vegetables.
Gluten-Free on the Disneyland Mobile App
These Restaurants are listed through the Disneyland Mobile App as having several gluten-free options available. There may be more options available if you speak to a cast member. And for some odd reason, the items that are a no-brainer such as ice cream or frozen treats are not listed on their app as gluten-free.
Snacks are available in prepackaged form in snack shops and bakeries. Be sure to check the ingredients and ask to speak with a cast member about baked goods such as Carmel Apples and Rice Crispy Treats.
