Hey everyone! A lot of people ask me how we get such amazing photos on our Disney World vacations so I thought we could share our secret! Let’s dive into how to get the perfect Disney World photos in front of Cinderellas Castle, with little-to-no crowds in the background.
This is actually fairly easy to obtain. The first thing you need to remember is, it’s all about dining reservations and timing.
Perfect Photo Dining Options:
- Early breakfast (8:00 AM) reservations at Cinderellas Royal Table or The Crystal Palace.
OR
- Late dinner (9:00 PM) reservations at Cinderellas Royal Table.
Breakfast for early morning photos:
Early breakfast reservations will allow you to enter the Magic Kingdom before Early Entry/Rope Drop starts. Make sure to arrive 20 minutes early so you have enough time to take a couple of photos in front of the castle with little to no crowds.
On a normal day at Magic Kingdom this is very hard to do without having a huge crowd of people photo bombing your perfect shot.
If you are staying on property at Disney World, you may start booking your dining reservations up to 60 days in advance. Early reservations are just one of the many free perks while staying at a Disney World resort.
PRO TIP: If you aren’t able to get a reservation keep checking back! I was able to grab a reservation for 8:00 AM 6 days before we left on our trip!
All you need to do is make your breakfast reservations at Cinderellas Royal Table or The Crystal Palace for any time before Early Entry/Rope Drop (8:30 AM).
This is also a really good way to get on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, with as low as a 10-minute wait! We went straight from breakfast to the ride, and it was pure walk on magic.
From there, we headed to Space Mountain and had two rides done before most guests were walking through the front gate!
Take look at the difference between 8:00 AM and mid-day:

Dinner for fireworks photos:
If you don’t have dinner reservations for Cinderellas Royal Table, you can still get fantastic photos around fireworks time. The front of the castle is roped off cast members do not let anyone near the Castle, but you can polity ask one of them and they will take your photo.
This will allow you to appear to have the whole park to yourself!

If you did score 9:00 PM dinner reservations, head to the back of the Castle. This area will also be roped off for the fireworks. A cast member will let you through the ropes so that you can get checked in for dinner.
Before you head into the castle, stop to take a couple photos! Chances are there will be a couple other people there taking advantage of this photo opportunity as well.
I asked a group of girls if they would like me to take their photos in exchange for them taking ours, and it worked out perfectly!

Once seated in the Castle, the fireworks start at 9:20 PM. We had just enough time to take a photo with my favorite princess, Cinderella, and sit down to order our drinks before the fireworks started.
Our table was at the back of the castle next to the window, which allowed us to have our own private view of the fireworks.

Capture Your Moment: Magic Kingdom Park, Photo Package
This option isn’t free, but it is a guarantee that you will have a professional photographer taking your photos for 20 minutes. This is a great option for a special occasion.
For $99.00 you can have up to 8 people in the photo and a 20-minute photo session (Price does not include photos). This doesn’t guarantee that you won’t be crowds in your photos, but from what I have seen the photographers do a wonderful job.
These are the only ways I have found, to be able to get the perfect photos in front of Cinderellas Castle with the smallest crowd possible without being the first to get into the park!
