As you start to plan the most magical vacation to Disney World, you might find yourself thinking, wow that’s a lot of money for one vacation. And just like the rest of us, you start to research where to buy Disney World discount tickets. With the internet being filled with scams and clickbait, stick to only reputable websites. Please do not buy discount tickets from eBay, Craigs List, or other personal listings.
There are several different types of tickets to choose from, we will briefly go over those options before listing our favorite Disney World discount ticket websites. This way you can make a calculated decision as to which tickets will be best for you and your family.
1 Park Per Day Base Ticket- The cheapest ticket available
Visit one theme park each day of your ticket. You cannot visit any other parks, just the one park that you have chosen for that day. This option is great for those who want to save some extra money or if you have kids under the age of 9.
Park Hopper Option- The most popular ticket available
The Park Hopper option allows you to visit more than one park per day. For example, Magic Kingdom for the first half of the day and Hollywood Studios for the second half of the day. You must make a theme park reservation via the Disney Park Pass reservation system for the first park you plan to visit. After entering that first park, you can visit the next park starting at 2:00 PM until close or you can hop to a third park.
Water Park and Sports Option- The 2nd cheapest option available
Walt Disney World Resort has 4 theme parks to explore: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. With the Water Park and Sports option, you can visit one theme park each day of your ticket.
Plus, you get a certain number of visits to other Walt Disney World fun based on the length of your ticket. For example, a 3-day ticket allows 3 visits and a 4-day ticket allows 4 visits. For each visit, you can choose one of the following:
- Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
From fast waterslides to a children’s area with pint-sized raft rides, this water park has attractions for everyone. Catch 6-foot waves or float on an inner tube down a lazy river. - Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
This thrilling water park features one of the world’s tallest and fastest free-falling waterslides, as well as slides and rides for the whole family. - ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
Discover world-class venues where sports dreams can come true for athletes of all ages. - Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course
Enjoy a 2,913 yard, par 36, 9-hole walking course with fun for everyone, from developing golfers to experienced players. Greens fees only. - Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course – FootGolf
Played over Disney’s 9-hole golf course, FootGolf combines the excitement of golf with the fast-paced nature of soccer for a unique experience. The precision sport requires players to kick a soccer ball into a cup, in a similar fashion to regular golf, using as few attempts as possible. - Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course
Play one round of miniature golf (prior to 4:00 PM) at a fun course inspired by the classic Disney film Fantasia. - Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course
Treat yourself to one round of miniature golf (prior to 4:00 PM) at either of 2 Santa Claus-themed courses.
Park Hopper Plus Option- The most expensive option available
With the Park Hopper Plus option, you can visit multiple theme parks each day of your ticket and you get a certain number of visits to other Walt Disney World fun based on the length of your ticket.

Park Reservation System, what is it?
After you choose what park tickets are best for you and your family, the next thing to consider is the Park Reservation System.
Before you visit a park, you must have valid admission and may need a theme park reservation depending on the type of admission and the date of your visit.
Theme Park Reservation Requirements
Theme Park reservations are required to enter a park through January 8, 2024. Beginning January 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for date-based tickets. For other admission types, theme park reservations may be required.
Check below to see if you need to make a theme park reservation based on your admission type and the date of your visit.

What’s Next?
Follow these steps to ensure purchasing your tickets and linking your tickets and park reservations go as smoothly as possible.
Step 1
Pick out a ticket type that fits your family’s needs.
Step 2
Check the Disney World Reservation System to make sure there is availability for the days you are planning to visit Disney World.
Step 3
Go back to the Disney World discount ticket website of your choice and purchase your tickets. Follow the instructions in your confirmation email to obtain your E-tickets.
Step 4
Create an account on the Disney World website using this link: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/login/?returnUrl=/plan/ or simply visit Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida (go.com) and click on My Disney Experience in the right-hand corner.

Step 5
Link your tickets to the Disney World website by clicking on your My Disney Experience, hovering over the Park Tickets icon, and clicking on Link Tickets. From there, you can link everyone in your family’s tickets to the website by clicking Add another ID number. Keep in mind your E-Ticket will not be an actual card as pictured below but instead a bar code number or a Disney World E-Tickets Reservations number.

Step 6
Make your park reservations by clicking on your My Disney Experience, hovering over the Park Reservations icon, and clicking on the Make a Park Reservation link. From there you will click on Book Park Reservation, you can then create your party by clicking the boxes next to everyone in your group’s names. If you are not seeing everyone in your group on your party list, then you will need to go back and link their ticket to your account. If everyone is accounted for then select continue. You can now choose the day you plan to visit and select the park you want to visit for the day If you have a base pass or for the first half of your day if you have the hopper pass. You are going to have to make a park reservation for every day you plan to visit the parks.
The Park Reservation System will be the same process no matter where you purchase your tickets from. This is a mandatory step with both discount tickets and tickets purchased directly through Disney Worlds’ website.

You have now completed the steps to purchase, link, and make your park reservations. Congratulations!
Keep in mind that when you are making your dinner reservations or even purchasing your Disney Resort stays, you can link them all together using your My Disney Experience.
