Starting September 6th, Disneyland will transform its park into Halloween! I don’t know about you guys, but I’m right there with Disney. My house is already transforming into a creepy fun Halloween disaster!
This year Disneyland is not doing Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween but instead, California Adventure is doing an Oogie Boogie Bash.
Tickets for this event start at $110.00 and rise to $145.00 per ticket per person, depending on the day you visit.
Oogie Boogie has taken over California Adventure for 20 exciting nights—ticket availability is limited, be sure to grab yours before they sell out!

New features to look out for
New Characters- Characters will be dressed up in their favorite costumes, waiting to take photos with all your Ghouls and Goblins.
(Jack and Sally usually hang out in front of the Haunted Mansion)
Guests may dress up as their favorite characters during the event but aren’t allowed to pose for photos or sign autographs. There are quite a few restrictions on costumes, I would highly recommend taking a look at Disney’s website before you pick out a costume.
Shopdisney.com has all of its Halloween costumes on sale right now!!!

Villainous! Is taking place of World Of Color and if you have read any of my other articles, then you know how magical this show truly is. It’s just a fantastic water show and with Oogie Boogie taking over, it’s guaranteed to be a fun time!
Villains Grove-Explore the misty realms of Disney Villains, transformed with sound, color, and magical special effects.
Main street pumpkin festival at Disneyland– Disneyland’s main street is filled with fun Halloween décor and lined with lots and lots of pumpkins. Don’t forget to stop and get your picture taken in front of the huge, Mickey-shaped pumpkin on main street.
Treats for your princesses and pirates
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail-You never know where a trail may lead—and it’s all in search of a sweet and delightful ending! After all, Halloween just wouldn’t be complete without a spirited hunt for some treats that are out of this world!
DescenDANCE– Head to the backlot area of Hollywood Land, you’ll find a dance party with the Descendants inspired dance crew. With loud music, and a live DJ laying down some sweet villain beats, your Descendants fans will dance the night away!
Mickeys Trick Or Treat- A Costume Party with a Story, Dancing and Sweet Treats! This story/dance party will take place at the Disney Theater in Hollywood. Featuring colorful video projections, spooky special effects, bubbles, interactive fun, and a special treat!
Frightfully Fun Parade
This Fun Parade takes to the streets of Disney California Adventure Park for the first time ever during the Oogie Boogie Bash. Watch out for my favorite part of the parade, the dragon! The Cheshire Cat will be at the tail end of the parade, smiling at all the wickedness.
Rides that change for Halloween:
Guardians Of The Galaxy- Monsters After Dark
Luigi’s Honkin Haul-O-Ween
Maters Graveyard JamBOOree
This light show takes place at Disneyland on select nights. I am so impressed with their night shows, I would set aside one night to watch. Projections are cast on the main street building, the Castle, Matterhorn and It’s A Small World. Keep an eye out for ghosts and classic Disney villains like Maleficent and Ursulalla. Look for nights listed as Halloween Screams with Fireworks. If you are in search of an area that is less crowded, head over to Its A Small world. I find this area to be less crowded and the projections are on the ride with the music blaring with fireworks still in sight.
